What are we doing?
The Fulton County School District is committed to making information on this site accessible for all individuals regardless of visual, hearing, or cognitive disabilities and strives to ensure its accessibility as new technologies and opportunities emerge. This site is designed and developed in accordance with the internationally recognized Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 as well as Section 508 Federal Standards. This includes utilizing best practices of organizing the HTML code to allow for assistive readers/browsers, providing text-based navigation schemes, providing alternative text for images, and using individual titles & headers for all web pages. This site also uses third-party software to audit accessibility in near realtime to insure compliance.
Persons requiring assistive technology and who may need assistance in accessing information from the district and/or school websites should contact the FCS Communications Department at communications@fultonschools.org. When requesting assistance via e-mail, write "Accessibility" on the subject line. Every reasonable attempt shall be made to ensure equitable access to district and campus web resources.
Some documents on the district and campus websites are in a Portable Document Format (PDF). In order to improve viewing some of these files, readers may wish to open the document and use the text conversion option available from the File menu. By exercising this option for viewing PDF files may be read with a screen reader. If you do not already have Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer, you can download it for free from the Adobe website.

Keyboard navigation
Industry standard keyboard interactions are used throughout this site. Keyboard navigation patterns differ between browsers (Internet Explorer, Safari, Chrome), but the interactions within any particular browser are common and consistent.
If you are having difficulty navigating using your keyboard, review and update your operating system and browser settings. This ensures they are properly configured for keyboard navigation.

Asbestos Awareness
As required by the 1986 Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act, all Fulton County School System facilities have been inspected for building materials containing asbestos.
To control asbestos and to protect students and employees, an asbestos management plan has been developed for each school and facility. These plans are available for review and are located in the principal's or building supervisor's office.
System wide plans are located in the Facilities Services Department at the Meadows Operations Center. Contact Haywood Cranford, Environmental Services Coordinator for further information at 470-254-7140.
School Nutrition/USDA Nondiscrimination Statement
In accordance with Federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies, the USDA, its Agencies, offices, and employees, and institutions participating in or administering USDA programs are prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity in any program or activity conducted or funded by USDA.
Persons with disabilities who require alternative means of communication for program information (e.g. Braille, large print, audiotape, American Sign Language, etc.), should contact the Agency (State or local) where they applied for benefits. Individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing or have speech disabilities may contact USDA through the Federal Relay Service at 800-877-8339. Additionally, program information may be made available in languages other than English.
To file a program complaint of discrimination, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, (AD-3027) found online at: Office of the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights website, and at any USDA office, or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form.
